Hi Nathan, Yea They should be the new plates SOOT80

Anyone know what 105 parts fit on the 80 which are bigger / better ?? Ie steering box ? Steering pump ??
 
Only good bits of a 105 is the comfier interior! Besides maybe the 1hdfte in the 100s :)
 
I'm running the Marks low range gears behind the LS2 and they work great. I wish they were lower for the $$$ but anything bigger just doesn't fit, the tranfer had to be clearanced as it was, just a kiss with the grinder. Best thing is, what I thought was a bit of diff noise on hi speed coast / decelerate disappeared when the Marks gears went in as a full set of new bearings went in at the same time. My transfer case is quiet as a mouse now, high or low range, load, drive or coast.
 
Yea that's what I heard nathan. 105s shaft is bigger or thicker then the 80 one. Thanks Alex yeah for $1250 for 25% low range reductions it would be cheaper and better results doing diff gears. Hopefully the Aus dollar comes back and I can go shopping online again.
 
Finally fitted up the warn winch. Was a prick had to move control box around build new bracket and then still managed to gain another job lol. Somehow I got a 35m rope and not a 30m so now I've gotta pull it all off and cut 5 6m off it. Least it works after I fully had it all pulled apart.

Next few projects (broke ass projects ) paint engine cover,
start a rear tailgate storage setup ( tailgates a spare to waste if I stuff up lol ) and maybe build a simple draw setup. Swaying towards just one draw to store all my tools air tools spares etc in.

3500 kms now and the oils on add on the dipstick for the second time. RAGHHHHHHHHH When is enough enough. Wouldn't be even 100 ml in catch can for the 3500 kms :-(
 
I'm using gulf western top dog xdo 15w 40. Don't know if it's in there mate. Can't get onto the engine builder and more likely he won't remember. If it's not then what will it do ??
 
Shame you cant contact the rebuilder, I looked it up on toyodiy and your engine should have one fitted. Part No. 11448-17010 in the diagram its just marked as 11448 at the r/h rear of the top of the block.
I don't know how you would tell if its there without taking the head off, ring around some diesel rebuild shops and see if there is a way? Its about $4 or so

Yea and what's it gonna do if it's not there mate ?? I'll get onto him eventually but I doubt he'll remember
 
I'm not a qualified diesel mechanic so its best you find a good one and ask them, I'm just throwing it out there as a possible cause. I would say if the rebuilder left it out then he should put one in there for free, using a new Toyota head gasket and bolts. Just be there when the head comes off to keep things honest :)
 
Goodluck with that. Engine building was offside once I told him I'm putting gturbo and bigger pump on it. I'll try anything though I'm a desperate broken man right now. Nearly ready to pull the pin and part the thing out and go back to fast and low sports cars lol
 
again a non qualified reply, if the XXi pump was over fuelling in any way prior to the rings bedding in it may have glazed the bores, tho if Mark sent it to you pre set to correct AFR, and you didn't fiddle with the max fuel screw :) then I don't think its a problem, have you asked Mark?

I don't know any guru diesel specialists your side of the island, but you could try Ches Diesel and Marine in Fremantle on (08) 9335 9211 and bounce your theory's off them?
 
Top dog xdo is all I use in all my cruisers and all work trucks and bobcats great oil better then delo400 crap I ran delo for about 2000kms then replaced it with top dog again just runs smoother
 
I've run to different oils now. I don't think it would matter much if I run woolworths brand oil. I Spoke to engine builder FINALLY. Reckons it does have the oil restrictor in. He reckons " probably been dusted " lol. What from day one 0 kms

? Anyways he's gonna have a look so see what the outcome is. ( he's not happy it's not stock). I think if I don't get some good news with this car soonish. I seriously might have to give the cruisers up. To much money for little to no return. Might have to part out and focus on getting a house instead. 18k or so deep with the engine and all the bolt ons and I can't even get 10k kms out of it. I never expected to get 300k + out of a boosted cruiser motor but would be well and truly happy with just a few good trouble free years. Ever make one good top end trip :-( When's is enough
