, so I'm leaning toward the 100 series to get the extra cush on the road.

Trust me. The 100 series has one cushy ride for an SUV. It has to be one of the most refined SUV's of all time. The suspension soaks up bumps like you would not believe. I can drive over things while off roading like I'm sitting in my lazyboy at home. If you have a bad back I'd highly recommend the 100 series. The heated leather is a plus also.

Guess that seals the deal. Now on to sell the 4runner!
Is is safe to assume the Seqoia will ride more like a truck since it's built on the tundra frame? I know I know...I said the "S" word...

I live in Russellville...not sure if it showed up on my sig or not.
Yes, there are some great trails around here. I have a cabin up on Big Piney Creek north of Russellville with unlimited trails of all styles-if you know where you are going.
I found a nice black LC up in Springdale. Carfax shows damage to right side pillars. I'm an insurance adjuster and as long as I'm happy with the repair job, not too big of a deal to me. It's a clean/clear title, just has an accident reported. The good thing is that is a heck of a negotiation point!
It's a 2000 w/ 176k miles. Asking 11,400, which they would have to come off of for me to bite. I don't prefer black, but it "looks" clean to me.

I own both and while the Sequoia is an awesome people mover as well the build and materials quality is similar to a 4Runner and not a Land Cruiser. That means it is still very well constructed but it does not feel the same behind the wheel and I don't see it feeling like my 100 does at 211,000 miles. Our Sequoia is an '03 with 73k on it and it has aged well; I'll give it that. It rides nice and to be honest IMO feels a bit peppier than the 100's do but I chalk that up to it not being as solid IMO. I don't lose any sleep at night over owning one of each instead of 2 100's.

I know that only clouds things so let me say this, it's no a Land Cruiser. :flipoff2:

There's some pretty good wheeling up there too.

Thats me! Small world.

I used to shoot bricks of .22 shells off that old bench over lookin the river in front of that rock cabin. Dave and the crew (my dad and I included) left that cabin in 1993 and spent the next 2 years building a cabin up river on craballs 48 acres. 1819 was a tough road back then and the road goin up south mountain was no joke either. My dad had a 1974 jeep cherokee chief with an AMC 360 3 speed that we used to crawl all over that place in but Crayball told me stories of hikin in there from the lookout and fly fishin for smallmouths in the 30's!

Nice to meet ya. May see ya up there sometime.

I'll look you up sometime when I'm headed up there. Your place is nice, I crossed the creek on wheelers years ago and walked up to your place. Pretty cool. Must be nice having electricity! Oh and I also found your dads huge deer stand he told me about years ago when I worked at the gun store. Tell him hi for me.

I'd say go with a 2000+ model year, I've seen a little to many threads about people talking about there 98-99 cruisers front diffs braking on them (they arent pretty stories either), its easily fixed with a slee front locking diff but thats going to cost you $905 plus shipping costs. the 2000+ has a stronger front diff but doesnt have the rear locking diff, instead its replaced with A-trac but it still has a center locking diff and the combo is usually plenty for most, including myself haha.
