Hello all. I'm brand new here and I'm following instructions- An intro, some info and a minor tech question.
Just bought a cream puff 2004 Land Cruiser (after owning an '89 Range Rover years ago. Enough said about that) with the intention of keeping it forever. It won't need to be a daily driver, but rather a special use vehicle-- off road camping, road trips and whenever we want a little luxury. Since the truck was in such good shape and (mostly) properly maintained, there's not much I have to do to it other than the timing belt and the usual stuff one does at the same time. I guess the original owner didn't want to spring for the timing belt, and instead replaced the LC with a brand new Lexus 470 after driving the LC for 120K miles. I never really understood those folks who'd buy something like this only to use it as a mini-van, but I'm sure glad they exist! -- worked out great for me.
I will be adding a substantial front bumper, sliders and a better roof rack, but that's probably about it. Maybe some lights.
One thing that became obvious real quick was that I had to find a way to get some music in it, since the CD changer jammed almost immedaitely (I should have known better than to have even tried it) and I had tossed out all my cassettes decades ago. Did a little research and everyone seemed to say that sticking in a BlueTooth receiver was the way to go, so I bought a BT45- Toy from UsaSpec and the required CAS-TLC adapter harness. My problem is that the plug on the new harness is not the same as the plug on the factory harness. Search as I might- and I have- I can't find any posts anywhere by anyone with the same problem.... The existing radio sure looks like stock, and the wiring harness too. Perhaps someone on this site has seen the same and can help me out. In return, I'll show you some trails the next time you're in Southwest Virginia!

Has anyone had this problem?
Thanks !
