Probably went out of business. They were simply not worth the price.

From what I hear he was selling a bunch of them but a very limited market because he didn't want to make a tie rod option that deterred alot of business (including me) away

Hellfire Fabworks LC80 Knuckles (looking for/WTB)

We have been trying to track Billy down for about 6 months now for a set of Knuckles. Any contact information that is current is appreciated.
Not sure there are any new stock left, so I am putting out feelers for a set of used Hellfire Knuckles. If there is any out there for sale, PM me or send a direct email. If I can't find anything, I am going to have to go about making an option on my own as I have a build that absolutely requires a hi steer upgrade to finish.
For reference, these were originally engineered for a popular mini truck mod that uses LC80 knuckle balls mated to a housing with a 9.5" ring gear for rock crawling.
It just so happens that a side benefit is that any lifted 80 series with steering geometry issues benefits from using this kind of knuckle hi-steer setup.

I am pretty sure OTT stopped making 80 series arms after a pair I ordered, #3 & #4. The first pair they maid used the ABS hole for a stud, but I had a '91 axle, so they had to machine the knuckle and redesign the arm. It cost me more than expected and they lost their ass as well. Never had an issue with the set-up, though. Handled many trips thru the Rubicon and Fordyce.

I had the last set they made, they told me they were way too much work and would never do them again. It took 9 month to get them back. They kept coming up with excuses, but the quality was good, and yes they milled and keyed the knuckles and used the ABS hole for an additional stud. I never had problems with them either. But if the OP is looking for impossible to get that is another to throw in the mix.

I've made heaps of 80 series tierod adapters. A piece of low carbon round bar. Drill a 14mm hole in it. Use a 80 series reemer to make the taper = done.

I'm pretty sure the arm is too thick for tre's or that's what I've heard, I also heard the arms are flat and not tapered to 10 degrees for the joints like other high steer arms?

Rubbish, the arms are flat but the machining through them is angled. 80 TRE fits fine.

still here, and in business, but I don't log on here hardly ever anymore.

i have a tie rod option and they are easy to make from stock fj80 arms. with growing demand for them i have more reason to spend money on getting them made,. but please keep in mind how hard it is for a little guy like me to get big shop products manufactured for a good price. i wont go into how much money i have to come up with just to get a small return several months later. this is not something that will ever get me good money, i do it because no one else was going to and i set a goal and reached it. my plan is to continue this as long as there is demand and all i get is the satisfaction of being that guy who makes what no one else does. yay me.

just to clear this up, this post is about OTT, not hellfire fabworks. no one has waited 9 months for me to get them parts.

my next batch will be done soon, but i might not be peddling them here. my new site will be hellfire-fabworks.com and will be back up this weekend hopefully.

thanks guys,
billy

I was speaking with "speedy" (his user name on here) about him using 1ton tre's he's using the stock sleeves, cutting them down and reaming them out, that being said as soon as I have the funds ill be buying a set of these! Thanks for spending the cash and your time building these billy your the man!

Thanks Billy. Really appreciate what you've done. Keep it up! And I will be bothering you for some more sets in the future (bulk).

This is all I ever do. 80 series tie rod.

Who welded that?

Latest info after conversation with Billy yesterday.

Next batch should be available in a three weeks.

Machining for ABS sensor will be an extra charge and they'll require turning the OE arm down to a 1 1/4" plug and welded in, like the pics Mark posted of his.

Considering this an option and opposed to starting new thread.......
