Hella horns?

a quick search will reveal a plethora of threads on the subject of horns. my take on it was that the best seemed to be 80's Caddy horns:flipoff2:

Don't have pics at hand but I mounted them in place of the stock ones. They're just barely visible through the grill. Just a little more spread apart, it gives a little more distinct tone to each note. Which together I would call a nasty, ugly, dissonant sound. But it sure does get peoples attention, and I imagine that they get out of the way just to not have to hear it again. lol

Agreed on the Caddy horns, very sweet sound.

I was thinking about mounting them lower

How much lower? Because they come with longer flat bar sections which extends them down more. So most of the horn is visible below the top of the grill.

This is where mine are located. They are partially covered by the grill, but people still hear them just fine.

The Hella's are a decent replacement for an OK price. I generally remove the red covers and paint them black so they do not stick out so much, mounted in stock location.
