2002 LX470 172k, has been running great and was planning the TB and WP replacement after the new year. A few days ago my dash lit up and i noticed that my temp went all the way to high - pulled over and shut off within 5 minutes and noticed that it looked like all my coolant was gone. Had it towed home and started to investigate. After filling it with water there are leaks on front of engine below the WP but there is also heavier leakage on the drivers what looks to be between the a/c compressor and the block. I'm trying the trace this leak but its difficult to see where the heavier leak originates from.

Can anyone shed light on any other possibilities the leaks could be coming from? There were no prior leaks or strange noises coming from the vehicle prior to this leak. Oil and transmission fluid so no signs of any coolant. engine was still starting up and running fine for a short time after i had it towed home.
thanks

Honestly man it's hard to say over the internet... you need to get under there with a light and inspect it for yourself. Maybe the coolant hose that runs down the front side of the engine. Throttle body hoses as well.

Thanks Travis Bickle, I went ahead and tore everything down. Water pump was the culprit so Iordered the Aisin kit and just ended up doing the Timing Belt and WP job a few months early. Finished putting her back together this morning and she started right up with no leaks.

It's very satisfying completing one of these repairs yourself - I've done 3 WP/TB jobs on a 2002 4Runner, but this was my first on the LX.

Thanks again for the motivation to tear into it.
