Like the title states, probably a bearing noise of some sort. Have not been able to find a hbeater blower moitor replacement, anyone know were to find one. Also, a local mechanic who works on Cruisers said to drill a small hole in the top of the heater motor & put some 3:1 oil or WD-40 type penetrating oil into the hole. He said it fixes about 80% of the ones he has seen with this problem, anyone done this or anything similar? Any help would be appreciated as we are starting to have some cold spells. Thanks!

Looks like it's heading south. 3in 1 will only delay the inevitable. I have a couple complete units, if you need one. Does anyone know what the differens is between the Carb fan motor and the blower motor?

Carb fan motor is smaller, I also have a couple in working order. I believe the brushes interchange between the two.

excuse my ignorance, but what is a carb fan motor?

Actually a carb cooling fan, mounts to driver's side kick panel, cools carb after cutoff for "lower emissions".

Heater motor

Check with Degol , on this forum , I got a core from him a few months ago and I believe he indicated he had complete units. Of course some above sounds like they have it also. I've dealt with him and he is very fast and knows what he's got.

Thanks I will probably take it out & clean & lube. I saw a rebuild kit on specters website, is the kit worth $20 to put in while I have it out & apart? Anyone have any experience with these?

Anyone had any experience with the SOR kit?

That is awesome I may just go with that kit, it seems to have alot more then the SOR kit.
