Hi guys, does anyone know why the rear heating on my bj75 is not working?

or for what exactly is this switch?

Given that it has both a Hi and Lo position, I would think that is for a rear heater rather than rear window defrost. Usually the rear heater will be in the bottom of the center console like @coldtaco said. You could also put your VIN or frame number into megazip.net, partsouq.com or toyodiy.net to see the parts diagrams for your model, it might help determine how it was equipped originally.

Hello,

It is a rear heater switch. Quite possibly it was adapted from a console-mounted rear heater from a short wheel base truck.

It should not be there.

First, you should check the switch for electrical continuity.

Then you should follow the wiring to determine whether it is part of the main harness or a hack/splice.

It's for the rear heater. Drawing 87-16b in most EPC's.

That switch was moved though. Normally the High/Low switch is built into the rear console plate by a dial. It looks like this:

Normally, there is a flat, black blank where your switch is now. However, it was pretty popular to move the High/Low switch up to that blank and then install a back seat USB port where the switch used to be. Like this (scroll down).

To clear that up the car dont have a middle console, and no heater on rear window, but i found some cables below the seats, maybe someone installed seat heater?

I found out what the issue has been, a plug under the dash was not connected, does anyone have a wiring diagram, the small lights on the heater panel are not working and i cant see where the wires are going?
