heater in fj40 nonfunctional

while on the topic,
The heaters in my 67 fj40 are both nonfunctional-neither blow. All fuses in the fuse box are good. Is the fuse for the heater blowers in a separate location? The plastic cover for the fuse box doesn't specify if any of the fuses are for the heaters.

I have tested the connection at the blower in the hood and their is no juice. All wires appear to be connected (though it is nearly impossible to see whats happening between the heater and the firewall.

Any ideas would be appreciated. This Cruiser has been stored for the last 2 years. [slight project] The last time it was on the road the heaters blew.

Thanks in advance

Glad you found your problem...

It is amazing how many times that the fault found with electrical issues, is simply a poor, or nonexistant ground...

For those with working heaters but poor heat, I would recommend you keep plugging. My heater works fast and heats up quick. It in fact gets too hot sometimes (depends on the outside temp). My low setting doesn't seem to work, but its better to have too much heat, then not enough!

You are the exception romer...better enjoy it...
