Looking for a new headliner to install...
And/or opinions on which is preferred by past experience:
which vendor? I read something a bit back (can't find it) someone had purchased several and had offered an opinion on what was best...

If you have your old one, can use it as a pattern. Headliner material that is period correct for old rigs is still available. Lost the bookmark I used to have. An upholstery shop could make it for you if yo have the pattern.

I've leaning toward SOR or Cruiser Corps, primarily because they have been selling them for years.. but that's a thought and I need the opinions to help me decide..

Materials amount to $45-60 for marine grade headliner material. Guessing there are 6 seams neede for the bows. Bet a shop would do it for $100? Keeping your money local helps too, Just my $.02

I like your .02!! If someone could do it 'right' here in Jax for anything around 150 I'll lean in that direction.. I'll make some inquiries and hope you're correct..

I used the SOR headliner and had it professionally installed while the windshield and cargo glass was out. No complaints 12 years later.

Thanks... I asked a couple of shops about creating one, and they both asked if one could be purchased.. .I think because it's a 'one off', thye've never done one, won't ever do another, and not certain I'd get what I am expecting after listening to them.. Yhey suggested buy one...
I saw an 'unremembered' thread saying one of the known vendor's headliner was spot on,..

I'm rolling w the SOR product...

I've ordered the two new rear cargo window seals, as well as the upper tailgate glass seal from Slocruisers and am going to have the headliner professionally installed. Get it done and move on... WIndshield already has a new gasket, and my PnB friend is going to remove it and reinstall after the headliner is done...

So no sealant used on the windshield gasket? I haven't looked at the FSM to see if it goes in dry or with sealant like my 80.

The new windshield and gasket were installed about 3 months ago (77 green and white) The new windshield installer guy said not needed, and the old one, original, did not seem to have any sealant... BTW I kept it complete w chrome trim thinking one day someone will manufacture a replacement seal...
My PnB guy said no sealant needed as well...
Not saying anyone is right or wrong because that's not my wheelhouse, FWIW... but the new headliner installation is probably two months away... PnB work still going on... I'm open to 'lessons learned' and thoughts ...

I honestly don't know; thus my question.

I used a headliner from Cruiser corp, had upholstery shop install, was a bitch, not enough material, sides ended up with 1/4" to wrap at window, which did not hold. My guy said bring me old one and I will make one that will fit perfect. my .02
