I was planning a simple, morning project. Pull the roof cap off and install new headliner. Easy, right? Right…
All but 3 of the bolts holding it in snapped! Turned into drill out, grind out all day affair including having to repair the rusted rear corners and that just day one of what will probably two trill-days. Will be using threaded rivets so I can maintain the ability use m6 bolts. Gasket looked to be original (1968) as it crumbled to pieces.

You are probably younger than I judging by the bikes, but I used to feel those frustrations when I was younger and now I know after overcoming similar challenges that they only made me more capable to solve problems which in turn made me more confident to take on complicated tasks. It's all a learning experience and an excuse to buy more tools.

Not so young. Just active (Live in Lake Tahoe). Also, not my first rodeo. Just new to FJ’s Just sharing. All in I was able to completely clean sand/grind the gutter and got the new headliner in by dinner time on Sunday. Long days but very satisfying.
