All,

I a getting ready to install my new headliner, but I am looking for the metal clips that are used around the doors. Is there a place to find these, and is there a specific tool used to install them? I have seen Evan's pictures of his install, but I am still a little worried about doing mine. All the glass is out.... so I should just be able to install the bows, stretch, and then clip in place???

Thanks,
Ryan.

I have a large Number of the clips from mine laying around in my pig. I'd be able to get them and send them to you but not for like 5 weeks probably, doubt thats in your schedule.

Clemsen,

Thanks for the offer. I might just take you up on them, if I can't find a source for new clips. I thought I saw a source for them new but for the life of me I can't remember where. I also need to find out the ins and outs of headliner installs since I have never replaced one. If anyone has done it and has some pointers lets here them.

Ryan.

Well no tips sorry but if you are willing to wait then I will send you all the clips I have witch is just about all of them.

Ryan,
I used a clip from a company named Aveeco (spelling?). I'll get the box tonight for the name and part number then post it. The part worked perfect and has a barb which holds the weatherstripping and door moulding more securely.

Ryan,
Remember, the bows have a sequence for installation and you'll need some adhesive for the edges in addition to the clips.

Thanks for the help. I knew about the adhesive and bows I just wanted to make sure I had the clips before I started anything. I really appreciate the help.

Ryan,
I finally found the clip box in the pile of misc. parts. The company is Auto-Vehicle Parts Co (Au-Ve-Co Products). They're called a "headliner trim clip", part number 9417. I got a box of 100 for about $10.00 at an auto upholstery supplier here in Atlanta. They worked perfectly and all you had to do was tap them on with a hammer. Good luck.

Thanks

You are the man. It is amazing how much information we as a collective have. I looked online for about 45 min yesterday trying to find a good replacement, and didn't. 5 min on MUD and I get a website and a part number.

Thanks,
Ryan.
