Hey guys looking for a wiring diagram for a 1997 T100 headlight. I have low voltage to my drivers headlight insufficient to light it unless the passenger side is unplugged. High beam works fine so I believe the ground is good. Any help is appreciated

You still have an ignitor on that? Run a ground from the ignitor case to a solid ground, should help, and keep your alt wire from melting....

What is the igniter exactly? This is coil over plug not a distributor if that helps. Also if I jump ground to it it lights. But I did an alligator clip from engine block to ground and it didn’t change anything. The schematic shows that the 2 grounds start as one wire so I think I need to find were the split off

Is that a 4Runner center console?

Nope

I bought a 97-98 T-100 factory console New at the dealership & the mounting bracket

it was Not that expensive at the time , like $130 + change

@cruisermatt

Nice post in the seat swap. Was your T originally a split bench ?

Thinking about the bucket swap if I can find a blue gray center console

Yes ,

that was a SR5 , but with cloth 60/40 split bench

the KOOL Azz Captains Chairs did not come out till 96 , 97 & 98 4WD models only ....

that wide-boy double-stacker TRIM Code #4 console box is the 97-98 T-100 SR w/ captians chairs , i bought it new from Toyota when i worked for them at the time , and the metal mounting bracket that secured it to the pre-roughed in captured nuts that had a round piece of thick clear tape over them ad a delete of sorts ....

in all reality you would NOT need the mounting bracket ,

but ............

a MTM T-100 95-98 Did have a Slick Shifter Sticks Double Leather Boots surround in place ,

i do not se any reason why you could not use a 4runner SR5 Console and MTM shifter surround ? minus the T-100 T-case shifter Throw-pattern select range of motion should be mapped out well before you get into that is all i can think of really ....?

the 96-98 SR5 2WD T-100 is simply Bad to the Bone !

i had one for a spell , its Sport Old Skool Floor Mounted T-Shifter set up was nothing less then my 1985 Celica Supra 5MGE i had way long time before the T-100 2WD SR5 ...

the front Sport seats in my Jade-Mica / Silver 2-tone 52WD were so so comfortable , much more then even the Captains chairs in 97-98 restyle T-100

after the 1998 T-100 ................

TOYOTA Pickup and Tundra / Sequoia Front Seats nose-dived into cheap-SH#T Pleather leather and felt like Grandmas old Sofa too ....S:confused:adly ....
here a few 1998 sales brochure screen shots below :

Sick info.

Mine is 97 DLX 4x4 ATM VK21

I’m gonna see if I can source some 98-02 runner seats that aren’t totally beat? Then a gray blue console.

On a side .. Some parts for the T are harder to find than the 60 series. I could not for the life of me find the correct rear tranny mount. Everything I found was incorrect. I had to put the original back in.

You won't find the transmission mount because it is discontinued from Toyota.

In general, parts for a T-100 are difficult because of the following factors:

1. It was a US market truck only.
2. It's manufacture was limited to only six years. That's a **very** short production run.
3. It did not share a lot of body components with any other vehicle.
4. There aren't many left on the road, unfortunately. Toyota knows this.

The wiki page for T100 is good read.
Find a good metal shop that can fix any frame issues or frame mount parts. You will not find them except in junkyard or someone parting out their T100.

The MTM mount for 4WD is still listed as available. Unfortunately mount for ATM 4WD appears discontinued.

Engine mounts for 5VZ 4WD are available still.

Can you look at how many 4WD XtraCab mufflers are available? 17430-62220. Still shows availability
