I spy Jason Free...... that guy turns up everywhere :hillbilly:

Nice pics, was the ratio of 40's to all other models really that high at the event??

Seems about right for the rust free zone out there. First cruiser event I ever went to in Cali had more 40's than i've ever seen.

Haha...yeah, I had a free companion ticket so Jason came along...little did he know my friend would drag us up 4 12K+ ft peaks in two days. I think he hates me now although he kicked my butt up every one of them.

There was a pretty high ratio of 40s...I am also partial so took more pics of those. They all kept saying how their trucks had "rust" and it always made me laugh b/c of how clean those trucks were compared to NC. We saw a lot of chevy conversions too.

Wow. Really great pics. I am very envious. Looks like you had a great trip!

I had cruiser envy the whole day at that event!

I dont turn down budget vacations...... wait till you go camping next weekend

lots of 40s, over 50% with roughly avg numbers +/-
30 or so 40s (all ages but lots of late model square bezels)
2 troopies
3 45's plus gary's FUZJ 48500 aka project X
10 80s plus the limo
5 60s
3 55s
3 100s
1 25
1 200
1 trekker
3 or 4 each 3rd gen and 2nd gen 4runners
1 Honda Fit :D

lots of motor swaps and TRD blowers and very little rust.
My vote is cast for the 1966 FJ45 with a blown taco 3.4 to 1 of 1 aluminum R1f1 to 60 split case SOA on 80 series elocked axles. droooooooool

Were you counting? Hahahaha! Don't knock the go car...it did have 4 doors after all! :) I should have added that pic since it was such a sweet ride!

A 14er! How many have you collected?

Great pics of the LCs too

This was my first 14er and first time in Colorado! We climbed a 12 and two 13s the day before in RMNP. My friend in CO just finished all 58 of the 14ers. I definitely am hooked now and want to go back to climb some more.

Congrats on getting your first. I have yet to bag any, but have covered some fairly rough ground on foot in the San Juans as well up north.

There are a few I want to go after though ...

Got a couple California 14ers done.

Haven't done any CO ones but i'm going to talk Brett into doing a few with me and Andrea next time we go visit them.

Thanks!! Huron was a good starter for us east coasters that live near sea level. :) Only 3.3 miles each way but steep. I was breathing so hard I am sure it could be heard for miles! On Sunday we did 12 miles total and it was rough. Got a pic you may like...are you from CO? I sure didn't want to leave.

Raghorns in velvet! Those young'ns are getting their first set of antlers.

It is funny how easy it is to get close to them until about a week before the general rifle season opens, then not so much.

Nope, I am not from Colorado, but it is a state that I find myself heading towards for hunting and for just general trips to the mountains. I am originally from Nashville, TN. I too am a flatlander and for me, it now takes 2-3 days for me to get remotely acclimated to the altitude.

I have been some places out there, especially in the San Juans, that have given me such a strong feeling of Deja Vu that I have been tempted to believe in reincarnation.

They were everywhere and I kept thinking how nice it would be to have my rifle! I love elk!

I agree...I didn't want to leave...already trying to find a way to get back there for good. :D
