Hey guys...heading out to Denver in 2 weeks for a climbing/camping trip and wanted to get recommendations on any good restaurants/breweries in the area that shouldn't be missed. Also, it just so happens the Rising Sun Rally is going on that weekend, so of course we are gonna check it out. If anyone needs any small (suitcase size/weight) cruiser parts picked up....I know Slee is sponsoring....let me know. I am very excited as it's my first time in Colorado...only down side is I won't have Pappy with me. :frown:

Left Hand
Great Divide
Avery
Denver Beer Co
Boulder Beer Co
Oscar Blues
etc.....

for breweries

Snooze in Boulder for Breakfast

Is that in order of yumminess?
Oskar is already on tap I am sure as my Denver friend is a huge fan.

No, the order really depends on what they is in season. I'd split it this way

Avery, Left Hand, Great Divide as the 3 to go to if nothing else

Those are all 30 minutes from downtown devner

I could rattle off about a dozen more but i'll just leave you with those.

Rocky Mountain brewery in Colorado Springs . A bunny of mine brother owns it.

as in playboy bunny?? :hillbilly:

I've heard that's a good one also.

Also in Colorado Springs is
KB Kraft
Pikes Peak brewing
Bristol
Colorado mountain

and some others I may be forgetting

Damn auto correct , I'm getting as bad as Adam for not checking before hitting send .buddy damn it .

For food, Beau Jo's Pizza is always good to eat and definitely go to Pete's Kitchen for late night food or great breakfast food (get the hash browns). Breckenridge Brewery is also a good place to go for local beer and food.

Breweries that haven't been named:
Hogshead- Denver
Golden City- Golden
Mountain Toad- Golden
Prost- Denver

All three solid choices. Its worth the visit for Left Hand and Great Divide.

Also, Golden is not far from Denver, just a little to the west. http://www.millercoors.com/Brewery-Tours/Golden-Brewery-Tour.aspx Yumminess is a Silver Bullet with blue mountains.

I will admit to drinking coors lite and actually "liking it". That is only because it was my college and camping beer when I was younger. College because of no money and I had grown out of my high school corona beer, camping also due to not much money and we used to go camping in the middle of no where in CA for a week or so.

A lot easier and cheaper for me to buy 3 30 packs of coors than 15 hand selected 6 packs from the craft store.

But even then i'd never actually tour the brewery unless I broke down right next to it and had nothing to do while waiting on parts

But I do imagine that place is one hell of a massive brewery, maybe just that coolness factor could persuade me.

If you can get up to Ft. Collins (1 hr north of Denver), Odell's is not to be missed! Awesome place, awesome beer. New Belgium is very close by, as is Ft. Collins Brewery, which has very good food in addition to their beer. But Odell's is a must-visit if you're up there.

Hit up the Rising Sun Rally today...there were a lot of nice clean trucks. I have some pics on my camera I'll download later but here was one I had to snap...it's pappys twin. Also, think the club needs one of these rigs like Slee!

I saw the slee mobile a few years ago headed to surf and turf in Cali.

Yeah Jason said he saw pics of it getting stuck at that event in the dunes . It was sweet inside! Darin, can you make one for us? :)

yeah I'm trying to remember but it is a lx450 and I think they found it in Vegas (don't quote me on that) I've seen pics of it broken down on the side of some highway somewhere.

Yum yum yum
