Hey guys,

I'm taking the family to Nashville the last weekend of this month. Coming from meridian, MS.
Are there any OHV parks along the way that I could plan a half day or so? My 6 yr old is dying to get on a trail!!

Thanks in advance

Adam

Stoney lonesome is between Bham and cullman and not to far off the beaten path. As you get towards Tennessee hale mt is north of Huntsville on the TN line but would be an hour or so out of the way.

Stony Lonesome is great easy riding for the family! 9 miles off of Exit 299 I-65

Looks like its going to be Stoney.

Thank you guys. That's pretty much exactly what I was looking for

Depending on when you are coming through I may meet you up there for a ride with my kids.

I'm gonna try to do some riding at Stoney lonesome (thank you for the suggestion) this Sunday. Maybe mid afternoon after lunch for a bit.

I've watched the videos on YouTube and my main Q is; are there a lot of trails that are 4wheeler sized?

Any notable trails that are more fun or 'must-dos' while there??

This is the most organized park I've ever seen. Even though the map is upside down when you receive it. You will receive one, you'll also have to watch a video before you enter... hey, it's run by the county.

I have been a handful of times and haven't been able to hit all of the trails yet. There are a ton of them. Some are 4 Wheeler sized but there are plenty for full bodied trucks.

Yep. Plenty. And you'll know the ATV trails by the sheer size of the trail head. My rule of thumb was " too many trails to hit to try to squeeze onto one I can't fit" there's plenty of trails there.

Fun place!!

Ouch!
As I passed that exit today I almost got off! Alls I had was the Motor House though. Headed back from Hawk Pride

We only got to spend about 2 hours. Def coming back

It seemed like a great weekend to be at Stoney. There hadn't been ant rain for a few days and it was mostly sunny. It seems every time I go it just rained the day before or is training while I am out there. I wish I could have joined you for the quick ride but we had a hiking trip planned instead.
