mudgods: trying to remove the SHORTER head (middle) rest of the middle seat assembly. I push the height adjust button in but head rest does not budge.

on full sized head rest, pushing the height adjust button allows the headrest to be fully removed from the seat.

removal reason: want to swap this shorter head rest with full sizzed head rest on the 40% side.

thanks in advance!

guess I'll have to use persuation (crowbar).
Just be careful not to pull on the cushion as it will rip the foam inside. Press the button and shove each hand under, grabbing the silver posts and slowly but forcefully wiggle it up, by slowly making your flat hand into a fist. You could also drip some lube in there. make sure to add a tiny bit of grease on the new headrest posts.

My middle one just pulls right out like the rest. But check your assumptions about fit. On mine, the posts on the middle headrest are closer together than on the outboard or 3rd row ones. Can’t be swapped.
