Hey Harry, come on down and just hang around with us. I would love to see your 80 up close.

I actually live in Alhambra, about one block away from San Marino. I say Pasadena because most people know the city better than Alhambra.

Are any of you guys going to take pics?

I doubt Ill make it (daughter's first communion). But if there is a slim chance after 1200 can I show up and watch?

My 80 is relegated to mostly driveway duty right now - so I can slack off :D .

You are welcome to come on down. Seriously, I would like to see your LX in person. :grinpimp:

Brent, I will be helping others only so my cruiser can be parked around the corner if that helps anyone else come and join the party.

Bluto, you are welcome to take my place in the driveway if Brent doesn't mind.

Well I used to think my engine bay was clean. :crybaby:

But I do actually take mine off road. :flipoff2:

I know, I know, yours would kick my ass on the road though. :grinpimp:

Sorry guys, won't make it this weekend, I'm stuck babysitting at the last moment.

Sorry to hear that Victor - if my daughter was in town this weekend, I'd have talked to her about a freeby babysitting job. Next time my friend.

So Brent, does that make it just you and me? Also do you have air tools? If not I can bring mine.

Sorry I'm going to miss it, but Saturday is my daughter's birthday. And I probably won't get any Cruiser-related work done on Mother's Day.

I really need rear brakes, and I'm not sure of the status of my PHH, but would like to PM it anyway.

Sheesh, I need a day off!:crybaby:

Have some productive fun for me, Mo and Brent.

Come'on Dan, just convince your daughter that she want's to replace your PHH for her birthday. Her skinny arms would come in real handy. Get at that lower bolt on the back of the intake and she would be your hero. What more would she need? :D

Kidding. We will do many more PM get togethers. Have fun.

Mo

Yep - I guess just the two of us if you are still up for it. I don't have air tools and only a 1/2 HP air compressor. Since any work won't be heavy duty, it should suffice. I have plenty of air hose.

I don't (yet) own an extension long enough to get to the brass plug on the side of the engine to drain the block. Do you?

I still need to pick up the coolant and distilled water as well. Have to find that post on proper mix.

Only thing Pep Boys had was Peak and Prestone Extended Life and I recall reading here somewhere that our LC's didn't like the extended life stuff. You remember anything?

Brent

I just got done replacing my radiator, thermostat, hose and all related parts, after that hemmoroid of a maintenence repair, i have no desire to look under my hood unless i absolutely need to! :D

Sorry

Use OEM Red you cheap SOB! :flipoff2:

Brent, I totally agree with Kevin, except the cheap SOB part. :D OEM red is the only way to go. I have seen an aluminum Toyota head with tracks eaten through it just like worms eat into wood (sometimes used as decorative trim). Not pretty and caused by yellow. If you have yellow in it already we will be very thoroughly flushing it and mixing the two will not be an issue. Make sure to get at least 7 distilled waters so we can really flush it good. That was almost 10 years ago and I am sure the yellow stuff has improved but the risk is not worth it for me. Don't make me boycott Saturday over coolant. :flipoff2:

Don't blame you I was burned out too after the HG.

Strong work Kevin. Looks good. You don't happen to have a side shot showing how much it hangs down compared to oem spare tire, resonator, etc...

By the way, why do the Japanese Market get all the cool stuff and we get the cheap stuff? Could it cost that much more to extend the visors behind the rearview for us too?
