Hi, just picked up my HDJ81 that I've imported and, while pushing through all of the many buttons, I've noticed the CDL button doesn't appear to be doing anything. Nothing happens when pushing the button, but the CDL light comes on when switching to low, and won't turn off when pressing the button. As it's a 1994 I was under the impression this should work, so is this likely to be a wiring issue?
Thanks

You may get lucking by exercising the CDL.
Drive in dirt and keep trying.
Start with the easy stuff before going ballistic.

Have you confirmed that the button is plugged into the wiring harness behind the dash?

Even if you have a CDL button, it won’t turn on/off once you’re in low range unless you’ve done the “Pin 7 Mod”

Thanks, I didn't realise it always locks the diff in low range. I guess there must be an issue with the button then as it does nothing in high range.

If the light is coming on in low, it must be working I guess? Need to check the wiring out the button

When you say nothing happens….do you notice any difference when driving for a short distance? You might need to move the truck forward and in reverse to get the CDL to engage.
