Nice job Rob! Those brakes were bad alright!

Looks like truck is road worthy again? :steer:
That and the new winch, ready to wheel Nick before the hot weather hits and we get locked out. Hope to get my air conditioning charged up for the summer.

Geeze, those brakes are worthy being in one of those "customer states" vids. customer says just needs new pads.... 🤦‍♂️

New brakes look great👍, do you mind sharing brand/details? I did a rockauto package rotors/pads and I'm pretty happy with them.
Power stop rotors off the Canadian Power Stop re seller, they came with rotors and pads. About 200 dollars more than the lordco crap brand and free shipping to my door. My truck had couple year old factory rotors and they sucked badly. I barely push on the brake pedal to slow the big truck down now, very noticeable improvement.Th they have been tested to stop 25 to 30 feet shorter distance than OEM. My one other upgrade was to go with Tundra rotors, but I did not want to mess with the balance of the brake.

Edit on the less than lordco, 200 more, still a great buy in my expeirence.

Okay, where are these from? I have old slee ones that cracked and were replaced with rubber on short notice. My frame to axle ones need to be replaced, at least it would make me feel better...

Wits End usually has them, but Joey is out of stock. Read about the slee lines failing, these ones have a good rating
Glad to see Manafre back at it. After they sold and moved to Vegas I was a bit skeptical but that is a good website and
parts prices seem realistically reasonable.

They were purchased by a company from Texas called BTB.

You can (could) get lines made in Victoria at greenline. Prices used to be quite affordable and they did with whatever ends you wanted and any length.

Just catching up. So that price is for all four corners complete kit? Seems like a better than decent upgrade.
I just finished basic drum overhaul out back and thanks, BTW for the advice on the adjusters. Got it back
up to factory specs now.

Yes and I think the pads were included.

They most likely could of built frame to axle lines, but those Banjo fittings are very hard to find. Went to Greggs Distributors and they tons of fittings just not the banjo with those angles.

Time to replace the front birfs and axles so might as well get rear chromoly shafts to match,, turns out I ordered 300 M which is more of the competition set. Should hold up with the 37 inch tires and one locker. I really like the idea of gun drilled birf with grease fitting so you can force grease into the middle of the birf.

Now to wait 6 to 8 weeks.:(

In my opinion, talking from experience with both braided brake line and the stock factory rubber ones. The rubber ones are far better, strong and longer lasting than the stainless braided.

Man did you not notice the crunchy sounds while breaking? Well good thing their fixed now.
