Thanks for that I will try tomorrow.100 TD said:From what I can see in the circuit diagram in my Max Ellerys manual, if you earth (ground)the white wire at the flasher unit the hazard function will work, this also appears to be the case with the downloaded wiring diaagram from toyota for a 2003 Lexus or LC, although in the latter, the switch is not shown and it refers to the Center Cluster Integration Panel and A/C Control Assembly, but these go to the same white wire at the flasher, so if you earth(ground) it, it should turn your hazards on. If this works then you can find the white wire at the hazard switch, and also the white-black earth(ground) at the switch and see if it is switching or not.
Good God I am jealous of that 1-5+R pattern in your rig.
How much was the center dash unit?Update with partial success. I was able to swap in the center dash unit. The hazards work, and the vent/recirc button works better. Unfortunately, the AC button no longer works. I may try to swap parts internally and update further, or order a new unit. Sigh.
Not cheap. It was $350 AUD shipped to central Oz. But it did solve the problem. The AC switch started working after a while, so now I have a spare for everything but the hazard switch. How much was the center dash unit?
