I've read probably 100 posts on brakes and bleeding and double pumping. I've bled all 4 calipers in proper order 5 times and am getting NO air bubbles. I can push the brake once and it is soft. I pump 2-3 times and I can lock the rear. Could it be that the bleeder on the new IFS calipers in front is on the bottom and air is trapped in the top? When I pump the pedal to firm and hold it, it stays put and doesn't sink. I've adjusted the Wilwood porportioning valve for the rear to try and increase front pressure without any effect on the fronts. I have an FJ80 master cylinder and the drum brake booster. Could it be the drum booster giving me the soft pedal? I have not pulled the master cylinder because it looks ok outside. I have all stainless brake lines and no visible leaks. The fluid was definitely of a dark color. Could this have corroded inside the MC? Thanks in advance for ideas and troubleshooting procedures. I've been jacking with this for three days:bang:

The bleeder is on the bottom? You'll never get all the air out of it. Something's wrong. Calipers on the wrong sides perhaps?

The booster doesn't care drums or discs. You need some residual pressure, like 2 psi to solve the general needs-one-pump problem, but the bleeders on the bottom is surely wrong.

Just searched some caliper pics and.....Calipers are on wrong side!! I be NOOOOOOB!

Bleeder Valves on Topside for IFS Calipers

From one Noob to the rest. When doing the mini knuckle conversion: Make sure you have the calipers on the right side. You can tell this by making sure the bleeder screw/valve is oriented to the top!! Ask me why I know this! Pedal is now firm and I can scare the ____ out of the Scottsdale Peeps at any red light by making the 33" Muds Bark!. Thanks for all of your help. Back in business time to test the Bobby Longfield warranty:steer:
