I didn’t see this being discussed and google failed me

the AHC reservoir is too opaque to be able to tell what the fluid level is at.

is there another way to tell how much AHC fluid needs to go in or be removed?

There are a few post out there regarding this. The recommendation is to shine a light from the spare tire area. It will light up the reservoir so you can see the level.

Take note of where the light is coming from. Without shining the light from the back/bottom it’s hard to see through.
Thank you. This was helpful. I shined from the front, bottom, and side...it wasn’t until I found a way to snack a wand style flashlight in between the spare tire and the reservoir that I realized the reason I was having so much trouble was because the system was ultra low. The only time there was fluid in there, even at the bottom, was when the system was completely lowered...and even then it was just barely in the reservoir.

having the light in that perfect spot showed me.

and for anyone thinking about doing the service: it’s easier than an oil change. New (red) fluid vs 82k mile (brown) fluid.
