Hi guys. I have a nice 1991 Lexus LS400 (Toyotas flagship sedan for 1991) that I love, but I want a 1991-1992 Land Cruiser that I would like to trade it for. It has 210K, which is nothing for a Toyota as you know. It is pearl white w/tan leather. Has most all options. The only options it lacks is: air suspension (which is good), CD player, seat memory, seat heaters and traction control. It does have the glass moonroof and leather. NO rust, NO leaks, NO strange noises. The timing belt was changed only 15K ago at a Lexus dealer in Atlanta. Recent brakes. The car runs very good- engine smooth, transmission smooth. It has a slight vibration on smooth roads between 35-45 mph, which a Lexus tech told me was a tire/wheel that would not balance, but since the tread was good and if I could live with it, just to "wear the tire out" and change it later. I was going to replace the engine mounts and transmission mount if I kept it for maximum smoothness, because after 200K miles, its recommended on these cars to change them. Not that costly. The only two problems I know of is that the power antenna will not go all the way down without help. Also, the low coolant warning light occasionally illuminates (but the coolant is FULL with the pink Toyota coolant) and the car does NOT overheat. The dealer said it was just a faulty coolant level sensor and it has nothingto do with anything of the running of the car, which is a $81 part from the dealer. I was going to try to find one from a crashed LS400 in a junk yard, but have not really pressed the issue. Its not that important... its just there for additional convenience should the coolant get low for some rare reason. It has a temp gauge should anything ever happen. The car does not have any dents, but it has a couple of minor scratches and the paint on the top of the rear bumper is fading off and it needs painting. The interior is good. Leather is good- I think there is only one wear spot on the driver seatback near the bolster. NO dash cracks- good carpeting, excellent door panels and excellent headliner. The V8 engine is smooth and powerful and worlds apart I know from a 91-92 Land Cruiser. I never have to take it over 2500 rpms and it moves swiftly even at low RPMS. It uses premium fuel, but it gets 20-22 mpg in city driving. A/C is cool - I think it needs a little recharge. All electroluminescent instrument cluster lights work fine. The LCD for the HVAC is darkened- which is a common problem on these cars- but its not a big deal and does not effect the operation of the HVAC.

Attached is a photo of the car I took a couple of weeks ago.... more upon request.

My car is not junk and would I would prefer a LC of the same condition/equal value - please no "northern rust buckets", "oil burners", "oil leakers", "overheaters", "300K+ models", etc. Car is located in northeast Tennessee.

Thanks in advance!

Just to update - my credit union said I could not simply trade this car "even" for a Land Cruiser. If I traded it in, it would have to be at a dealer, so thats out.

Ironically, my mother has decided she wants to buy this car. Thanks for your interest!
