Thanks...this is exactly what I'm looking for. A bit spendy, but not a lot more than the third party wheels I've looked at. Will call on Monday to see if theyre still available. If not, I may consider the Tundra wheel option...I like the (close to) OEM look. Not crazy about having to screw around with front hub issues, but I've seen what others have done and I'd seriously consider it. Still, OEM strikes me as the best option.

I don't know anything about that source, more of a sample that they are somewhat available (for a price). You might want to do some comparison searches with the OEM P/Ns listed at that source to shop around a little bit and see if there is a local, or semi local source. I thought I saw one seller that had "Atlanta" in the name, which might save on shipping and allow you to check them out before paying your money.

I love my OEM 18 wheels on my 06 LX470 wheels (in their original finish) :)
( I rarely see them posted in the classifieds but occasionally they to pop up)
A quick Internet search found these https://midwestwheelandtire.com/product/lexus-lx470-2005-2006-2007-74186h-alloy-wheel-rim

A neighbor has LC200 (5 spoke) wheels on his 100 series and they're fairly nice looking (but not quite as nice as what should've been on yours from the factory).
(I often see these pop up on mud classifieds and local craigslist ads)
May have to modify or find alternate hub caps to fit the caps over front hubs:

There are many more OEM LC200 and OEM Tundra wheels, that are the correct size/offset/lug pattern/bore size that are very commonly found on Internet classifieds for fairly cheap

You might want to look here for ideas:

People often have to work around hubcap issues with these wheels on the front hub.
Solutions I've seen wheel spacers, alternate 100 series hub caps, flattening grease caps, cutting holes in hub caps to allow grease caps to poke through, etc.
Midwest Wheel and Tire has none on hand, although their website would lead you to believe that the have them in stock.

look for LC wheels 2003-2007. Second best wheel to the 05-07 LX 5star.

Cheap: Craigslist Tundra Take-offs. There should be dozens available in most metro areas and pricing is normally below $500 for a full set in perfect condition.

Expensive: Granite Alloy or SCS F5 F5
Any opinions on the quality/performance/longevity of after market wheels like Granite Alloy? I'm not enamored with the bling factor of many of these wheels, but if they're a "perfect fit" and offer excellent fit/finish/longevity...well, maybe.

As I said in an earlier post, "Midwest" was just an example, that I had zero experience with, but they did list the OEM part numbers.

Plugging the OEM part number "4261160330" in a google search seems to generate a number of leads on new/used/refurb OEM wheels:

I like @geanes wheels above...he can chime in on what they are.

Unless you spend money, you can’t beat quality or fit/finish of OEM Toyota. Not that you can’t get a quality wheel...but I’d only go aftermarket if I was in love with a certain wheel.

OE 16”, 17”, 18” and up from earlier 100 Series Land Cruisers, 200 Series Cruisers and 5-lug Tundra/Sequoia will work on your Cruiser. I linked 16”s previously because, while I’d choose OE 18” 100 Series LC Wheels if I were in your position...I’d take the 16” variety over 18” bling that I didn’t like.

Another aftermarket wheel I think looks good in-person:

Are the OEM LX wheels painted or powder coated from factory? Clear coated? How difficult/costly to have a set repainted?

Painted... been told you can paint any color you want and then clear coat and it holds up well.

Those aftermarket ones I linked are DEFINITELY of lower strength than OEM Tundra or Land Cruiser wheels. As far as I know all the OEMs commonly used on those vehicles are fully forged wheels. To get that in the aftermarket world you're talking $2k-$4k for a set for something reputable. That's a part of why I went with OEM Tundra wheels.

Now granted, with beefy sidewalls on over size tires, virtually any roadworthy wheel will be just fine. Wheel strength is a big deal on low profile tires, but on a 75 profile tire I think you'd struggle to break any rim even if you were trying to abuse it.

If you don't desire the aesthetics of the aftermarket stuff you can't beat the mechanical quality of OEM Toyota wheels, IMO. Jump on Craigslist and see what's available in your area. Your local dealer might even have a set at a decent price that they just took off a sold tundra, Land cruiser or lx.

Thanks G-Cat! The wheels are Vision Rockers in Anthracite finish. They are 18x9.5 with a 12mm offset (puts the outer tread blocks of the KO2 a few mm beyond the fender). Under $200/wheel.

Or you could go to the other end of the Bling-o-meter and go with the Third World/UN Convoy Vehicle look! :)

A few weeks ago a buddy of mine saw my green 100 in the parking lot of a local restaurant and thought I'd had a flat tire and was running the spare. His face when I told him all five of the wheels looked the same was priceless.

God, I LOVE those wheels.

I do love my LX470...but what some of you guys are doing borders on fetish.:) Love to see such passion for a GREAT platform. I'd toyed with selling my '06 with 151K but I think I may drive it until one of us dies.

We're not all that unique for loving the 100 series so much. I've seen multiple sources saying the same thing. People own Land Cruisers longer than any other vehicle out there.

I'm still looking. I've seen numerous threads with folks using Tundra/Sequoia wheels on LX with the only issue being the front wheel center cap fitment. I see how folks have worked around this and applaud their inventiveness.

However, at this point I don't want to do this and am really holding out for a nice set of LX470 wheels/caps.

OTOH, using a LC wheel may be of interest if the center wheel cap fitment isn't an issue.

Is it? If not, which years are the LC wheels/wheel caps a slam dunk fit on my '06 LX?

Thanks,

Bob
