Rear hatch/tailgate stopped locking/unlocking today. Will not respond to key or door controls. Any one ever have this issue?

The only other thing you need to know is HOW the little motor is keyed in your truck. It may not match the one in the posts.
Mine was keyed with a D shaped shaft and I ordered the circular shaft. the post references this in another post.

+1 for this reply - it is most likely the actuator. Simple repair - takes about 30 mins to r/r the panel and install the new actuator. I may have a spare that I'd be happy to send if that'd be helpful to you.
