Has anyone traded their LC for a LX570?

I’ve got a 2021 HE nearing 80k miles.

I’m seeing low mileage 2021 LX570’s for great deals.

Would you?
Pros/cons?

I have a 2019 LX…love it! However, at 80k I’d say the LC is just breaking in…plus the Lexus with AHC will require some additional maintenance. I love the ride and flexibility of it, but went into it with my eyes wide open.

Great choices either way. I think the 200 series will always be desirable.

On the LX AHC is generally an upgrade, especially for towing. The interior feels substantially nicer too. Audio quality? Yeah that’s a bit better.

However, The infotainment and rear AC controls on face lifted LX are pretty bad. This is something you get used to but it still really annoys me at times when driving the LX.

Overall I wouldn’t bother with the switch. 80k is still young. The 21 LC has most of the LX upgrades built in.

I have an 18 LX with 60k on it and considered one like yours with 80k on it. I don't think the grass is greener. Just different grass. Keep the HE and don't let it know you're thinking about trading it away.

I know a few people that have gone from an LC to an LX. Both people I know up here went from older 200 series LC‘s to newer LX as in made a 10 to 12 year jump in model years.

There is no way I would trade a similar year LX for LC or LC for LX. They are like 90 to 95% the same vehicle.

Lower supply and higher demand for the LC = Keep the LC (especially a HE)
Features and options shouldn't even be part of the conversation unless that's what you want. In that case, get an LX, but know the value will always be better on the LC.

If you have a specific reason/need, then share the details and we can discuss.

If you're bored and simply want a change for the sake of change, pick up a sports car.

(I'd never buy a 200-series without AHC, and thus would never buy a North American market LC over a LX.)

I am not sure about that...Yes they are very similar, but in terms of design and offroad capabilities there is much more than a 5% to 10% difference.
Ok fine I’ll agree a LX with the appropriate wheels and tires are at least 11% better then an LC off road…. Easier to lift, easier to fit 34’s, better handle heavier loads (racks, drawers, fridge,…),…

But seriously, Design and off road capability is almost exactly the same if that both have the same wheels/tires. Same drivetrain, same engine, same frame, same ESC, same atrac, …. AHC vs KDSS is a slight difference but I’ve driven both a fair amount and wouldn’t call one overall better than the other, just different.

I have a buddy with a heritage and he is certain that my ‘13 LX (17” rims w33’s) is better then his off road. I always remind him he could have saved ~$50k and bought a 6-10 year old used LX over his LC.

I saw a white lx570 with a sensor lift and methods/33’s probably and it looked stunning. Would be easier/cheaper to lift a LX then a LC

Definitely bored with my current and looked through Autotrader and saw the prices on them. I’ve got a ton of equity in my HE and wouldn’t mind getting into a lower mileage vehicle (granted I get a low to mid 70k for trade in). The HE seats aren’t that comfortable and would think the Lx would have a much smoother ride/seat comfort also?

Hate that the LC radar cruise shuts off below 20mph in bumper to bumper traffic where the Lexus will go to zero.

I think that pretty much covers it.

Well you have a good idea of the swap. Better interior, better seats, better audio, and better sound deadening Are the big ones.

Oh man... I wish your HE did not have a 3rd row. I would relieve you from it in a heartbeat. One thing is for sure you will have zero problems getting rid of it for an LX. Although you might have some regrets in the near future. JS.

I'm about to drop an LX570 engine into my LC. Does this mean I'll have the best of both worlds...
HELLOOOOO horsepower GAAAAAINNNNZZZZ !!

Make sure to go easy on the skinny pedal until you're used to the new power.
