Just wondering if anyone knows the condition of the trail. My dad is coming up this weekend in his Taco and thought about taking him through it. Options would be going in my stock 100 or his stock Taco. The last time I went it was in good shape but that has been over a year. With all of the rain we have had in the last few weeks....just curious.
most likely fine. Friends of the Broad River paid for the grading several years ago and it hasn't seemed to erode much since. That said, I haven't been up it in a while but plenty to explore with him just in the area. cross over 40 and there is another easy loop. Unfortunately tower road is closed at the top now and the other direction down to the river has mud holes that would swallow moonshine now but you can still spit out at the next exit west and come back. Explore paint creek and the gravel roads above and around Hot Springs. Speaking of moonshine, i believe "cotton" is buried up that direction toward buzzards peak. Man was good at his craft.
