Has anybody added aftermarket BSM?

Looking at upgrading to a 200 series and researching safety features. I was surprised to find out that Blind Spot Monitoring was not offered until 16+ models. 16+ is out of the budget. I really don’t understand why my wife’s 13RX has BSM but these vehicles did not. Although I like to keep it OEM has anyone added a aftermarket BSM system to a 200 series or other vehicle?

I have used the convex mirrors for many years but the BSM system in my wife’s RX really shines in poor visibility conditions especially when others sneak up without their lights on.

I agree, it's fairly complex process if you want OEM quality.
