I bought one about 10 years ago, 1/2" drive, 18", 150 ft/#.
My buddy is a structural bolting inspector and has access to a Skidmore-Wilhelm. We tested it about 2 years ago and it was bang on. That was after a fair amount of abuse, too.
I'm not sure if HF still has the same model, but from my experience it was worth the price.

There have been a lot of write-ups and testing lately. They appear to be as accurate as any of them

Not mine.....

It's the 1/2" wrench on right missing the (don't know the technical term) nipple thingy.

I've had a 1/2" one for 5 years. My wheels haven't come loose yet.

For $10 I'd use it for 1 project then throw it away and not feel bad about it.

Certainly cheaper than having a 'high end' torque wrench recalibrated every year...

What is it that you are torquing? If it's something of high value and precision, do you want to trust it to a cheap torque wrench? If it's something that your life, or the lives of others, depend on, do you want to trust that to a cheap torque wrench?

If it's neither of those, then knock yourself out.
