DUE TO A LACK OF INTEREST THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED

Heather and I would like to host a HAMON here at our place. We have no projects of our own, rather the object is to offer up the shop for work that members might not be able to do at their own at their place or would be considerably easier here with the benefit of a lift, chain hoists, cherry picker, tube bender etc etc.

I have two bays that we can have clear for use. We can discuss projects on this thread ahead off time so we can figure out some sort of schedule for vehicle work. The more helping hands the better...
Don't count on me too much around the shop at times if we have a lot going on, grilling etc

But wait...............there's more. We have a natural shooting range in the form of a ravine with large bank on the other side. So we can do some shooting. If there is enough interest maybe even pick up a clay thrower and do some trap shooting. Obviously strict safety rules will be in force for shooting as there will be children around. Even if you are not turning wrenches, come on out.

Grilling out and a bonfire in the evening as well. There is plenty of room for camping and parking. Heather has also offered up saddling up Saxon for rides for the kids and there are 4 horses here for kids to pet etc.

We are an hour from Greenville, Ashville and Charlotte at 111 Dozer Rd Chesnee, SC 29323

What do you all think Dates etc? This is a month prior to Logan's Run so might be a good time for some to get their rigs ready for that.

Stan, after our call last week, I am thinking about coming over your way, probably before then and paying you a visit .... Possibly for a small bit of paying work. ;)

Let me know when you want to come by Sam. Heather has a 70 series E-brake boot heading her way to duplicate so she will have a pattern.

Added to the calendar :D

What projects do people have?

I could come up with something to do on Moonshine if we're looking for work!!

Let me check my cal. this sounds fun. Plus Shasta needs here exhaust built out and a double knuckle build. I only have the parts for the exhaust right now. Johnny, wouldn't it be cool to have a lift rather than hours on our backs?

Yeah, that's something we can do at Stan's if he's cool with it! We'd need all the regular metalworking tools, but he has that stuff :D

I am fine with it. I do not have the capability to bend exhaust tube though.

I have my exhaust systems done out of shop for that reason among others ( I hate exhaust work)

JC has some pre-bent pieces we had planed to use. I'll of course donate to the expendable materials fund. Biggest thing now is seeing of that's my daughter's camping weekend or not. Fingers crossed. I'd love to see your place. Thanks Stan! BTW, do you still have that rear upper tailgate? I'm ready for it if you do.

My shop is nothing special to see, just a basic shop with far too much stuff crammed in it. Some day when we build a barn I can at least get all the mowing and contractor equipment out and open up some room. I believe I still have the upper hatch. Tail gate is gone.

Ohh ya. Just got word this weekend is open. Now I'm pumped.

I need my knuckle rebuild done. Let me check if I'll be around that weekend, but if so, I'd love to come!

Hmmm. I need this ....

Keep in mind that I will not be tuning wrenches at the Hamon :)

Actually, a buddy I sent the video from URE asked me if the 80 in front of me was a diesel. :rimshot:

A Powerstroke 1FZ-FE. Have had that upgrade for about 20K miles by best estimates.

Heather's truck has a wrist pin knock. When people ask she tells them it's a diesel

Ahhh, so now I am the rival. Really not much to see in any case. :)
