sorry to hear it dude....always a hard thing to do.
My heart goes out to ya....we put our shepherd down earlier this year - he was 11 and went to work with me everyday for the past three years.
we have two more at home, but it is not the same. Hang in there...

I nearly had my dog put down a couple weeks back as well. All at once he lost the ability to walk and screamed when I tried to move him at all. I had to keep him hopped up on oxycodone so he could even eat.
Took him to the vet to have him put down and he literally snapped out of it just as quick as it came on. We're happy now- but went through those same emotions leading up to the vet trip. It was awful.

Sad day. You brought me back about 8 months when we had to do it. It was so much harder than I would have imagined. Best dog ever!
Don't sweat that baby thing though. Something wasn't right. Next time will be fine and practice makes perfect!

Put my shep down a few weeks ago, seems like yesterday. You gave her a good life and a good home with lots of love. Doesn't get any better. Hope your wife is feeling better soon as well. Tough times make us stronger.... or just more numb to the pain.

My mom had to put down a shep last month that she adopted,who would wake her up every day at the same time like a clock...I loved that dog, very smart and extremely loyal.
Probably doesn't help but.....when you miss Macie look at your avatar.........too funny
