I'm looking to disabled the function of it returning to stock height above 15mph. I don't plan on rolling down the highway with it up, but rather want to experiment to see if I can get better gas mileage out of lowering it.
No way I know of a way around this other than getting an AHC controller. BTW, AHC goes from L to N at 9mph (yeah, the owner's manual says 15mph, but I think it's wrong). Keep in mind that in L, you won't have much suspension uptravel if, say, you hit a rough freeway overpass seam (like all of them in LA).
you could pull the fuse ied suspect or the relay for the AHC, but i dont know if its a good idea to be messing with the system. Ive thought about the AHC Controller but with the crappy roads we have here in NY im not doing it.
Also if you drive in L mode, the camber will be way off since the vehicle's alignment is for N mode, causing excessive wear in the inside edges of the front tires (due to the IFS, the front alignment changes as you raise/lower the front suspension).
