Wanted H55F transmission

Toyota has these factory sealed. Get them while you can!

Used H55s generally have LOTS of miles and shaft wear and really are not worth it considering rebuild/parts costs...

Better to find reasonably-priced (yes, a relative term, here) new -- Maybe contact @beno 'cuz you'll need a few bits with it and you want the right stuff the first time!

Another recommendation for a new one from Toyota. Very good value and only seems expensive at first. Then 200k miles with no transmission problems.

Are split cases still available new in the US ?.....If so, at what price?

They are, but they're not complete. You have to buy the input gear and items that go behind it on the trans main shaft seperately. You also have to buy the drive flanges, washers and stake nuts.
