What is your location?

oh, i plan to be there!! I spotted this thread a while ago. will i see you there by chance?

Guaranteed! Really great bunch of folks and Toys.
It's in my backyard so don't hesitate to ask me about the area. Watch for thread updates from SethZilla.

It came out of a 1985 FJ50 that was sold in the U.S. or Non-U.S.?

Would you consider splitting up the trans and the transfer case? I am interested.

Classy....my understanding is the H55f is a direct bolt in from my existing 4 speed. Since I already have a working transfer case, I didn't think I needed another one plus shipping is expensive to Washington. Maybe I am wrong, but it might be better to correct someone than be a tool about it. Why would you even feel compelled to respond? Are you interested in the tranny and transfer case? This thread is about expressing interest in buying a transmission, not flaming people. Just sayin'

Do you realize the time and labor involved in removing this case from this trans? No? Do the research, then you will realize how stupid the question is.

Every piece of the transfer case must be removed in order to take it off the transmission. At the very least an hour for someone that has done several. Then the seller is left with a big box of parts, hardly an easy sell.....

You mad Bro'? Don't understand your hostility and why you would give a s***. I didn't ask you, did I?

That's the only way to sell an transfer case by itself! If someone wanted just a (split) transfer case they would get a box of parts, why is this a big deal to you?

The seller is really jumping to sell trans by itself"...........it's not a reasonable request.

Or maybe I'm the only one that finds it so.

Hey guys, this is a thread to sell a part. I'm doing it to help mud members out. If you need to hash something out, please do it in a PM. I understand both sides, and as I am the original poster, I will make the final decision.

Now that that's been cleared up, I do not want to split up the transfer case and transmission because they were both recently rebuilt, and I feel it would be more beneficial to keep them together.

Thanks,
~Dusty

Thanks Dusty. I had to ask. If you were already in CA, I'd be more interested, but I think shipping it across the country would be more than I am willing to pay. Good luck with the move and sorry that you had to get in the middle of whatever that was that was going on.

No problem! I wish you the best of luck in your search.
