H42 swap into Auto HJ60 (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone, new here and new to landcruisers!

I've got an 86 HJ60 with the 4 speed auto in it. I was wondering if an H42 from an 82 BJ60 would work in my truck? From what I've gathered on the forums the input shafts on the transmissions over the years changed?

Simple answer no.
3b inputs are too long and wrong spline for clutch system.
