H41 gearbox

Hi guys

I have 1983 HJ47 ute. It has a 4 speed manual box, which it was issued with. Is this the H41 'box or can it be something else?

it should specify what trans it came with on the data plate on the firewall.

i checked there. since mine wasn't built in japan, the plate doesn't specify which tranny it uses.

The gear layout might help. Is reverse on the bottom left?

yip. bottom left. next to second gear.
