I own 2 BJ 42's, one of them with OEM power steering. After the complete frame-off restauration & reregistration of the 2nd one last week I started searching for PS-components for that one.
I was able to get almost all OE-components except the tubing. The minimum items I need are the 2 connection fittings for the gearbox side; the tubing I can have made locally.
Anything available ? Searching worldwide !

Hi @Fips,
If I'm not mistaken there are some aftermarket products, e.g.

PS. Are these banana trees in Trier, Germany, Lol?

^^^ These are not the ones

@Fips Yes maybe you have more luck here, these are for the 80 series but they are out there

it would be helpful and might shave some of the prime-meridian time zones off your worldwide search efforts if you posted a nice amounts of tech. photos below ?

you mention one of your BJ42's is all factory toyota P/S sparky'd up , but the other is lagging in some fittings on the gear box side ?

a #2 yellow pencil ( not yet sharpened down ) makes a excellent T-TEN pointer so you can pin-point-style point-out exactly what these illusive fittings are & where there located on your BJ42 "s

- if you have your BJ42 PowerTrain & Chassis FSM , this would help as much as the technical reference photos you post below

THIS IS THE WAY ..... ✏️

Thanks for your replies so far !
Matt, I have the FSM but it won't give much details. I will take photos of the PS on the 2. BJ 42 and come back then !
The 2. photo seems to be what I'm looking for.

these tech photos above are good reference examples of what you need to provide here below , based on the unique factory set up's of BJ42 .......

that fig. # 2-131 is NOT a BJ42 ......fyi

but same in kind what you to focus on providing photos for us to help you below ..

make sense ?

If Toyota Matt isn’t able to resolve the issue for you, Steve at EBI Cruisers | Port Coquitlam BC - https://www.facebook.com/EbiCruisers?mibextid=LQQJ4d can likely supply what you’re looking for.

From what I understand, very few (if any) diesel 40 series were sold new in the USA. Canada, on the other hand, has tons more. I know that EBI has worked on lots of them, and I’m confident they will either have what you are looking for, or be able to point you in the right direction.

The hydraulic shops in these parts have been able to make any lines I’ve needed… have you checked with your local hydraulic shops?

For the P/S conversion I did I used stock lines for an International Scout II (donor box). They were available at RockAuto | All The Parts Your Car Will Ever Need - https://www.rockauto.com/ for a very reasonable cost.
