Who knows about this tranny in detail please?
Does a H151 from a 1HDT-FTE fit behind a 1HZ? I am not worried about the bellhousing (I have the one from the 1HZ) , but about the input shaft. Were they identical?
the tranny in question is from a 2000 cruiser with the 1HDT-FTE.
I do not know the year of the 1HZ.
The 1HZ currently also has a H151 behind it and is in an 80 series.

That's all I know.

thanks,
cheers,
jan

here ya go ..

down here 1HZ came with H150 which it's a 21splines input tranny .. when H151 it's 14 coarse splines ..

1HZ use a 275mm flywheel and 1HD-FTE ( T or FT ) use a 300mm flywheel ..

Actually both flywheel are the same .. just the contact surface it's different .. so you can send either to the machine shop to be resurfaced acordinly ..

Tapage spelled it out pretty well.

The bellhousings will be the same. The input length is the same length but different splines count.
HZ is typically mated to an H150 in an 80 series and it has 21 splines on the input. The H151 also has a lower first gear.

BTW if you end up with an extra bellhousing I would be interested in buying it.

IIRC H150 have lower 1st and 2nd gear compared to the H151 ( that's why I select it to my tranny swap )

The H150 does have the lower first and second gears compared to the H151 as Tapage said. Not a huge difference but definitely noticeable for sure.

I don't have my tables here .. but IIRC was something like

H151 1st gear it's something like 4.24:1 and H150 1st gear it's something like 4:54:1
