Is anyone paying over MSRP?

Guaranteed everyone is going to be paying over MSRP.

This truck looks like it is going to be a hot ticket item; and Toyota has done a good job of building up hype for the GX and the LC.

Rich people will get first dibs, of course. That’s the way the world works now. Money talks; Toyota knows this.

Maybe year two the hoi polloi will get dibs on the leftovers.

If I was a regular schmuck I’d be happy to get one by the 2025/26 time frame. Both trucks will be pay to play. :meh:

I'm first in line and was promised no markup. I won't buy it if they try to pull something. Also, I'm not rich.

I’m in the same boat. Repeat customer at my local Lexus dealer and will take my business elsewhere if they try pulling anything. Not because a few thousand dollars, but out of principle. Part of the reason we’ve bought Lexus in the past is for the dealership experience and to avoid the sleazy tactics found elsewhere.

I was also told no markup on LC250 but I'm expecting a couple grand in "dealer extras" to get thrown in. As long as it's really small I'm not too worried about that. Early adopter tax.

That’s par for the course in Gulf States territory. I assumed $4k in my spreadsheet for stuff I’ll be given that I don’t want.

I'm in NoVA. It seems like it's usually either pay 2-5k markup or pay 3k for "paint films" and things. If I'm going to have to do it I'd rather it at least be for *something*, however useless it may be.

But Gulf States is the distributor and they are also a parasite.
Oh I know. I live I their territory and most (not all) Toyota dealers around here have gotten way too comfortable with ADM’s and add-ons that add no real value to the vehicle.

I wouldn't mind the drive anywhere in the USA if the keep their word of no mark ups. Back at the early onset of the 5th Gen T4R, I went all the way to Utah to get the Trail I wanted. GST did not even had that model anywhere, but were going to upmarket one for me. F*** you, I said... Went to Utah and get what I wanted. Probably ended up paying more for it once air fare and transportation got accounted for ... But like someone said, out of principle, I did not pay them that.

Are you not a 'regular schumck' like me. I thought we had so much in common. I am going for a 2025, get the "bugs out", if there are any. FoMoCo still debugging the Bronco 4 years later.

The 300 LC is getting its first update later this year.
Updated infotainment system + gauge cluster change on higher spec versions from analog to fully digital.

Should hopefully bring it up to J250 update level of tech.

I have a 2nd year 300 that definitely had all the bugs the first year 300s had.

I drove a 2024 300 very recent production and it still has the hood flutter for example which makes me wonder if they will ever actually fix it.
The dealers have a fix supposedly but why isn't it being applied on the production line. I am starting to wonder its how they designed it to be maybe for crash saftey regulations.

I'd much rather have an analog gauge cluster than a digital gauge cluster. Yes, I do want a big, capable infotainment screen. But I prefer analog gauges.

Analog gauges w/ all the relevant data:

Voltage for the battery
Oil Pressure
Oil Temperature
AT temperature
Boost gauge
Etc

Many a time they give you two gauges of all the things I really don't find all that useful
