I had these tires on for awhile. About a month ago noticed that I make a hard right turn (wheels all the way to the right) - hear rubbing noise - looked under the car - right tire catches skid plate when turned all the way to the right.
I am really surprised as a car had these tires for almost a year and these are standard size.
Is something else broken?
Should I just bend skid plate to get it out of the way? Grind/cut it? - it looks like just about 1/8 of an inch overlap with a tire.
Any chance I damaged a tire?
Thank you for advice!

What size tire and lift? Sounds strange. Is your caster off? If the tire is more rearward, or if your camber is off it "could" put the tire closer. That is assuming it just started. What wheel offset?

Dan, these are standard size: 265/65R17. Thread is definitely a bit more aggressive than OEM. I notices this about few months ago. Tires were on since last November. Is something broken in steering mechanism? Car drives/turn as expected. When I do turn the wheels all the way to the right - see the left tire rubbing skid plate in front.

Ive seen oil change places bend the skid plate down instead of removing it to remove the filter causing what you are describing.

This might be it - bent it during oil change. Bugs me because I take all my cars to this garage and they are pretty good. Will talk to owner.
