GX470 Hitch question

I need to get a hitch. It already has the mount in the back. So do I go OEM or SSO Lil Hitch?

The OEM has a higher row rating, which doesn’t matter to me bc we don’t pull anything crazy....but my question is about how it is mounted. Do you have to take the middle bumper cover off permanently? I am wondering how it looks with the OEM hitch. The SSO mounts to the bottom and the middle bumper cover stays on...which is what I prefer.

Anyone have any pics of the OEM hitch installed??

To use the OEM compact 5000lbs rated hitch you need to cut a bit on the cover or you could buy pre painted cover from Lexus. P/N 52169-60904 is the one not painted.

If you only want to use it for bike rack and already have the adapter piece the SSO hitch would be easier to install. To install the OEM you need to at least remove the small center cover and also most likely need to get the blue clips holding it in place. The clips are really hard to remove intact as they got brittle over time.
