I just picked up a 2008 GX470 and quickly installed a Grom Vline V2. My goal with mounting it was to not impact any of the usable space like the glove box and to also have easy enough access if I need to mess with it. Looking around Google I didn't see any ideas that I ended up going with and instead found a spot to the side of the glove box. I'll share some pictures in case anyone else is looking for a spot to hide it.
The video cable / harness side is facing down and runs along the bottom where you see the zip ties with no major bends. The GPS, mic, and bluetooth run over and across the 6 disc changer.
