Working on a prototype of our Blitz style bumper for the GX470! We already make these for various generations of Tacomas and 4Runners, but the GX is a great platform that we wanted to support with bumpers as well.

Looks great, please make this for LX570
It would’ve a perfect solution for those of us who want to retain factory bumper and don’t like naked front wheel exposed cheap Jeep look.

Released! The install video is currently a compilation of the plastic bumper cut video we filmed before we started the prototype and our 4Runner install, but it should be enough to get these installed. Once we are back up and running 100% we will get an updated video and install document for this. Full bumper coming soon too 👍

I did a quick color-matched photoshop as well.

Funny enough, I'm shopping for a center section for a friend's taco.
Like your 3rd gen taco Blitz, this would COVER the center. Covering GX makes more sense as the design is less component-appearing. For the Taco (esp 3rd gen), replacing to be more recessed and lower profile makes more sense than covering (approach angle conservation). ;)

So this GX is pre 06, and KDSS?

I've been nerding out on the pix and CAD from your website, RE: skids.What are the differences, specifically? I see a diff allowance, vs flat and oil change door. Also the one on the right seems a little wider in front vs. straight-sided all the way back... Is this 4R vs GX?

100%! It was tough to come up with an integrated slim bumper on the smooth front GX, but I think we have a functional option that's somewhat reminiscent of the OEM GX bumper guard, that's at a price point for people to get a winch and some recovery points easily. I'm excited for the full bumper on these though, really going to look great 🤘

Do you have beta showing/describing the mounting (I know a vid is forthcoming ;) )? Is this also a winch-mount (ego is there substantial support or mounting behind the skin too) with rated recovery for a GX?

Nope, skids are the same. Left is 4th gen 4Runner and GX470 and right is 5th gen 4Runner and GX460 👍

We actually have way better pictures that need to go up with some clarification. Sorry for the confusion.
 
Awesome work! This is a great design. Do you know the estimated weight difference between steel vs aluminum?
