GX470 4" Lift

Interesting. The only thing I see different is the add of the diff drop. If you had a lift and wanted to do the same on a US spec GX470 there may be some cross over from other 4R or FJ diff drop kits for the front. The rear would be pushing control arm replacement with that much lift or else you will start having alignment and wheel placement issues.

I am going to go up again for sure, probably doing a total chaos long arm kit (wider AND 3" of lift) along with some spacers in the rear and finally get to 35" tires.

Quite a find! I surf for OZ stuff all the time too, it is fun...but it makes me jealous that we don't get all those toys here.

True, but a 4" with a diff drop and a 3 inch with longer arms and axles is more clearance.

If you go up 4" and lower your diff 2" to accommodate the CVs you are only gaining 2" underneath. If you go up 3" with a new long travel front end you get 3" under the front.

4" will give you belly clearance and rear departure but the GX already has good rear departure. The belly clearance is compelling.

The 3" long travel also spaces your wheels out so you can fit 35s more easily.

The description seems to indicate a control arm drop bracket for the front. That would probably drop the dif 4" too. Without seeing the hardware it's tough to tell how they did it.

On my '99 I did a 4" using fj80 springs in the back with a panhard drop and trd tundra springs up front with spacers. I was able to squeeze a one inch diff drop in without the skid plate being lowered. It has 11" of front wheel travel and 18" in the rear. It runs 33s. 35s would not be able to stuff for full travel.
