I've started looking at what I would like to replace my LX470 with in the next 6-12 months, as much as I like the LX570 and 200's I like the fold flat 3rd row and better mpg's of the GX. In searching what is for sale across the country I have seen a few in the 180k mile range, a bunch in 140-150k range and I would expect 200k to be very much possible with limited issues. No timing belts, base models have pretty basic suspension components, maybe electric gremlins but haven't seen much along those lines posted yet.

Any thoughts on what the major issues might be with these if buying one with 60-80k miles and planning to drive to close to 200k?

Id like to know also, it seems everyone has plenty of confidence in the 4.7L motor in your truck. The newer trucks have decent resale value as well but the jury is still out it seems.

We have a '16 with ~8500 miles on it now and i'm crossing my fingers for many years of enjoyment.

I would think it would be good on a GX460 that is care for. A GX470 that has been cared for, will go well over 200k miles and Toyota/Lexus is know for building long lasting engines and other mechanical pieces.

Other than the air injection pump issues that have been reported, the GX460 seems to be holding it's own in terms of mechanical reliability. I've seen a few other oddities here and there, but nothing that I'd call a quality issue. For me, it's a question of whether all the electronics will stand the test of time.

I had a 130,000 when I got rid of my 2010 4runner last year, and ordered a 2016 4runner. There's some creampuffs out there..man, they sure do hold there value.
