Just changed the Diffs.... Couple notes I think might be different for my year (2018) 31000 miles.

Front uses 10mm hex for both drain and fill. Located on drivers side.

Both the front and rear had magnetic drains, both where covered up in metal.

Also note.... The front fluid will drain out with conviction! Had a mess to clean...

That is correct on the 10mm Hex on mine too.

I never had trouble removing the drain but I've never been a fan of the hex head either so installed this KAON drain plug on front during the last diff drain a few months back.

I think price is about half if you don't get the extraction tool and also in AUD witch is about 30% less.

Wouldn't be the first to do a simple drain and fill on AT at that low mileage and possibly the brake fluid?

I did the AT already.... I'm they guy that quizzed you on that outlet hose diagram changing.

Ah, brake fluid ;)

Any other preventative maintenance I can do after the transfer case?

I'd look at coolant, power steering fluid and brake fluid all around 50,000 miles.

Brake fluid is one that Lexus/Toyota recommends every 30k miles in the warranty services guide. Previous owner of my vehicle had it done around that interval. I think I have everything to do a power bleed (not a definite adapter from Motive Products for power bleeder). Other options... reportedly Techstream can help facilitate bleeding as well as simple two person. I am told the difference with two person bleed on these electro/hydraulic boosters is for assistant to keep foot pressed down as you bleed and pump will continue to feed fluid.

Power steering is pretty easy to do with just the turkey baster method and agree 50k is a good recommendation for coolant even though Lexus says 100k miles.

Battery syringe filler works better than turkey baster for power steering fluid replacement (your choice of Dexron III).

Belts/hoses???
What do your brake rotors and pads look like?
After that, I think you've covered everything.
Unless you wanted to go and swap out all your incandescent bulbs for LED's.

AND after you're all done, can I bring my rig on by for a service too!!! ;)

Hahaha! I feel like I run a shop now!!

thanks for all the help and input guys.....

seriously there are zerks on this thing???

I wanted to give an update... I changed the Transfer case fluid at 34,000 miles and it looked new. I'd recommend waiting a little longer for a change on that.

I can't say the same about the differential and transmission fluid. They were pretty nasty.

Will

I still need to baseline my rig (my dumbass will probably wait until it’s properly cold to find time) and appreciate the thread.

I had to buy a trim part and asked the dealer about a AT drain and fill and they said it was $170....so cheap that I let them do it. Now to do everything else DIY :bored:
