Does anyone know or has any youtuber asked why the GX is 650lbs heavier than the LC? The GX OT is spec'd at 5675lbs and the OT+ is 5705lbs. The LC is listed at 5038lbs. Where is the extra weight coming from? The drive train of the GX and LC seem like a wash considering the LC has the battery and electric motor to counteract the GX's larger displacement and 2 extra gears. In the Throttle House LC video, the LC doors sound very hollow so I'm assuming weight savings there. But where else? Seems like it would be difficult to add that much sound deadening to the GX or at least 650lbs of sound deadening.
It will also be interesting where the new 4Runner lands weight wise. The 5th gen 4Runner was 4750lbs. I would assume the smaller (shorter) body of the 4runner would be a little lighter than the LC.
