Going to Gulches on June the 20th with a neighbor. I'm taking the Pig. If it isn't muddy I'll drive, if it is I'll ride with the neighbor.

All are welcome - please post up if you want to go. We will probably meet around 11 am which is when the park opens. You can show up anytime though - the park is small and its not hard to find people...well not too hard...

UPDATE - ROVER NEIGHBOR CANT GO AND NOW I CANT EITHER. Y'ALL HAVE FUN WITHOUT ME.

I might be able to make this though. Where is Gulches??

nevermind. Googled it. How much is admission?

how is the park, on the website it has several different rated trails. I was thinking about taking the children somewhere to off road but i don't want to go somewhere too crazy where i have to worry about getting stuck. Stock height/All terrain 31" tires on the 60.

The park is about 80 acres and has everything from easy to very hard trails. The kids could have fun but there are not enough easy trails to spend an entire day. Skip (owner) does grill out lunch often and there are picnic tables so the kidos could enjoy that. On stocker AT's I wouldn't go when its wet - gets very slick.

I went last year on MLK day in FJC with 3" lift, skids, sliders on 34" Nitto Terra Grapplers. I did not get any damage but there were only two of us there that day as it was drizzly and cold and MUDDY. It was definitely a pucker factor even on easy trails. They also have some water puddles that are more like ponds with depths of 6 feet...so if it is not on trail or someone else has not already gone through...might want to bypass it.

If I was a rock crawler or had a vehicle where I did not worry about damage I would go again...just was not my cup of tea as I thought the trails were very tight and could see how it could be backed up for long periods on busy weekends.

If it is dry though you have pretty good traction, but SC slick red clay is a different story.

I would be happy to go with you one weekend - maybe a Sunday. Shoot me a PM.

i got a set of BF mud radials 31x10.5's that should be here by this weekend and trying to get a used set of springs for about a 2" over stock (@5 inch over saggy current springs) lift by mid next week and then i will be headed out there.

I will definately PM you about going, I go to brookwood church right off of 385 in simpsonville/mauldin so i figured i could head out with the little ones right after the early service @10:30. After taking the wife to the little mud puddle over by Berea elementary power lines she say's she has no interest in going off roading so it will just be me and the kids.
