Bill Burke is coming to Tillamook next weekend for a 2 day guided 4x4 trip. I reserved spots for 8 rigs and just had 2 rigs back out so if anyone is interested, it is $445 per rig divided amongst however many people are riding with you. Not cheap, but it's supposed to be a great learning experience for anyone from an experienced wheeler to a beginner. We have a few of both in our group. We also rigs ranging from a stock Tacoma to a 2007 Rubicon with almost 500 horsepower so anyone will fit in. We're an easy going group of guys from the Portland Vancouver area and half of us have done this kind of thing before and half of us are newbies.

It is from 8:00 Saturday morning till afternoon Sunday. To join us, email me and I'll get you exact details. You'll need to either camp or drive in to Tillamook and get a room.

Have a good one.

worth it!

Just got back from the weekend in Browns Camp with Bill Burke and it was incredible. This guy has been involved with the FJ Cruiser since the prototype and while he actually drives a D90 himself, he knows just about everything about Toyotas (and every other 4x4 rig for that matter.) He has done everything there is to do off road and has trained for over 20 years. This guy is the S@#$! We had 2 people in each rig so it was about $220 per person and I would recommend it for anyone at any skill level. You'll learn a lot, have a great time, and get to meet a really interesting guy (he has been involved with everything from the '91 Camel Trophy in Africa to training tank recovery.)
HIGHLY recommended if you get the chance.
